Doug with Florida Wash Company did an awesome job on our roof cleaning and house soft wash. I honestly didn’t realize how much of a difference it would make until I saw the finished result. The roof looks great, and the whole house looks fresh and clean again. Doug was friendly, showed up when he said he would, and was easy to work with. You can tell he takes pride in what he does and wants his customers to be happy. If you’re thinking about getting your house exterior or roof washed/cleaned , I’d definitely recommend giving Doug a call. Great work, fair pricing, and an all-around great experience. We’ll definitely be using him again!

Expert Wood Deck Cleaning in Jacksonville, FL
Wood deck cleaning in Fernandina Beach means more than rinsing off surface dirt. Fernandina Beach sits in a subtropical climate with high humidity year-round and receives roughly 44 inches of rain annually. Those conditions feed mold, mildew, and algae growth directly on wood deck boards. Left untreated, that organic buildup stains the wood, makes the surface slippery, and breaks down the wood fibers over time. Florida Wash Company uses a controlled, low-pressure cleaning process that lifts mold, algae, mildew, and ground-in grime without gouging or splintering the wood. We work with the grain of the boards and apply cleaning solutions suited to wood surfaces. The result is a deck that looks cleaner, feels safer underfoot, and holds stain or sealer better when you are ready to refinish. If your deck has gone gray or dark from weathering, a professional cleaning often reveals wood that is in much better condition than it appears. Call Florida Wash Company to schedule your Fernandina Beach wood deck cleaning.

FAQ
Wood Deck Cleaning FAQ
Common questions about wood deck cleaning in Jacksonville, FL.
Yes, it is worth it for most Fernandina Beach homeowners. The combination of high humidity and heavy annual rainfall here accelerates mold and algae growth on wood decks faster than in drier climates.
In many cases, yes. A deck that looks dark, gray, or heavily stained often just needs a thorough professional cleaning to reveal wood that is still in solid condition.
Yes, cleaning the deck first lets stain and sealer absorb evenly into clean wood fibers. Applying a finish over mold, mildew, or old grime reduces how well it bonds and how long it lasts.
Too much pressure can gouge wood fibers, cause splintering, and leave visible marks on the boards. Florida Wash Company uses a controlled, low-pressure method suited to wood surfaces to avoid that damage.
Most wood decks in Fernandina Beach benefit from professional cleaning at least once a year. The area's high humidity and rainfall create conditions where mold and algae can return quickly without regular maintenance.
Yes, when done correctly. Florida Wash Company takes steps to protect surrounding plants and landscaping during the cleaning process.
